Jody McGinity, mother of club member Dustyn McGinity, KC3LIA, of Unity Township, is in Excela Latrobe Hospital recovering from COVID-19. While the majority of people are not so severely affected by the virus, she ended up spending 12 days on a ventilator and was taken off on Monday. She was still in the intensive care unit on Wednesday, and may be transferred to a step down unit in the next couple of days as her condition improves.
Jody’s family, friends and people of the community are responding with a GoFundMe campaign that as of Wednesday evening had raised more than $2,800 of its $4,000 goal.
