WEARS is in the process of designing a High Speed Multimedia Mesh (HSMM) network for both emergency response and every day amateur radio use.

Our first priority will be to design the emergency response network for deployment while responding to some type of emergency event. The goal of the network will be to facilitate clear, accurate, reliable information during an emergency. We will do this using a variety of technologies.

Command Post 600 will be outfitted with equipment that will act as the central hub for the mesh network. KC3AAD hopes to have the following services available from CP600’s mesh node:

  • FTP
  • Web server
  • VoIP
  • Instant Messaging
  • Webcam(s)
  • NTP (Network Time Server)

Please see the additional links under the HSMM menu above for more information.
