Please place the Command Post on standby for the operations period of 2000 hrs on 25 – November until 0800 on 29 – November 2013. This time period will be revised as the weather unfolds.
The Command Post will need to be at the ready with staff to respond in the event of multiple weather related calls, the failure of a communications system, declaration of a disaster and or at the request of an EMA or fire official. All personnel are requested to pack a go bag (remember any medications) and be able to have a quick deployment to the Hose House in Marguerite.
If you are in need of assitance in completing a check of the equipment or vehicle let me know. It is a good refresher / learning experience for us. I will make sure that the corner of the building, where the antenna leads are is free for the Command Post.
The fire department will staff as needed. I will be the Duty Officer for the event.
