Please place the Command Post on standby for the operational period of 1900 hrs tonight until 0800 on 08 – December 2013. This time period will be revised as the weather unfolds.
I hesitated on doing this. I am not worried about the snow, I am however concerned about the freezing rain and ice that is being forecasted.
The Command Post will need to be at the ready with staff to respond in the event of multiple weather related calls, the failure of a communications system, declaration of a disaster and or at the request of an EMA or fire official.
All personnel are requested to pack a go bag (remember any medications) and be able to have a quick deployment to the Hose House in Marguerite.
The fire department will staff as needed. Response modifications may be in place which will place the squad as first out. Myself and Deputy Forsyth will be the Duty Officers for the event.
